Reward money is a form of corruption in Pakistan Customs that is regularly documented. In fact, this reward money is part of the system for informers who risk their lives to provide smugglers’ secret information to Customs so that smuggling activities can be foiled in Pakistan.
The Government of Pakistan gives them reward money for this service. But this sin is very important to highlight before the nation that Some high-ranking officers of Customs are misusing reward money.
These corrupt officers are taking away the rights of the informers, who are the real beneficiaries. Some officers have even gone to such an extent that these informers give them information and put their lives in danger, but a few corrupt officers steal their rights.
But their conscience does not stop them from doing this sin at all. All these things are not hidden. Rather, intelligence agencies have mentioned it in their reports and this matter has even gone to the standing committees, but everyone is silent on this corruption.
