A tragic incident took place today in Jamia Haqqania, Akora Khattak, in which a renowned religious scholar and Vice Chancellor of the university, Maulana Hamidul Haq, was martyred. The explosion took place inside the university, as a result of which several people, including Maulana Hamidul Haq, were injured, however, Maulana Hamidul Haq later succumbed to his injuries and was martyred.
Maulana Hamidul Haq was one of Pakistan’s leading religious scholars and pro-Taliban leaders. He taught and guided Jamia Haqqania for many years, and his students are spread across the world.
After this incident, a wave of panic and grief has spread throughout the region, and the investigation into this tragedy is underway. The perpetrators of this explosion have not yet been identified, but the authorities are investigating it.
Deep sorrow is being expressed by various religious and political circles on the martyrdom of Maulana Hamidul Haq. Public figures and religious leaders have strongly condemned the tragedy and demanded an immediate investigation into the incident.
