Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has more assets abroad than in Pakistan; details submitted in the nomination papers before the 2024 elections have come to light.
According to the details, the value of Shehbaz Sharif’s assets abroad is Rs 14 million, and the value of assets abroad is Rs 54 million. The data available on the FAFN website shows that before the 2018 elections, Shehbaz Sharif’s assets abroad were worth Rs 146 million, and the value of assets inside the country was Rs 205 million.
According to the report, at the time of the 2024 elections, President Asif Ali Zardari’s total assets were worth Rs 2 billion, including no assets abroad. According to the details submitted in 2018, President Zardari’s total assets were worth Rs 654 million, of which Rs 99 million were assets abroad.
FAFIN data shows that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has assets worth Rs 79 million abroad, while his domestic assets are worth Rs 74 million. Before the 2024 elections, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s total assets were worth Rs 1.9 billion, of which Rs 1.7 billion were assets abroad.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has assets worth Rs. 800 million in Pakistan, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has assets worth Rs. 96 million in Pakistan. Both leaders have no assets abroad.
