Saudi Ambassador-designate to Pakistan Dr. Rajeh bin Tami Al-Baqami has arrived in Pakistan.
According to diplomatic sources, Dr. Rajeh bin Tami Al-Baqami will assume his duties from Monday 28th September. Dr. Rajeh is among the Saudi ambassadors who have extensive experience in defense and security matters.
Sources said that Dr. Rajeh bin Tami Al-Baqami has served as a Major General in the Saudi Armed Forces.
According to diplomatic sources, Dr. Rajeh’s extensive experience in the defense sector will be helpful in further promoting strong Pak-Saudi security cooperation. Dr. Rajeh’s appointment is significant in the context of the Pak-Saudi Arabia Strategic Defense Agreement and the Mecca Defense Agreement.
On the other hand, according to the Saudi embassy, upon Dr. Rajeh bin Tami Al-Baqmai’s arrival in Islamabad, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and other officials of the Saudi embassy welcomed him.
