Pakistani cricketers Shaheen Shah Afridi, Saud Shakeel, and Kamran Ghulam were fined for committing Level 1 breaches of the ICC Code of Conduct in the Tri-Nations Series match against South Africa on Wednesday.
According to the details, Shaheen Shah Afridi was fined 25 percent of his match fee, as he was found guilty of violating Article 2.12 of the ICC Code of Conduct, which relates to “inappropriate physical contact with a player, umpire or other person during an international match. The incident occurred in the 28th over of South Africa’s innings, when Shaheen deliberately made physical contact with batter Matthew Bretzke as he was taking a run, resulting in a scuffle.
Similarly, Saud Shakeel and substitute fielder Kamran Ghulam were fined 10% of their match fees for celebrating too closely with South African batsman Temba Bavuma after he was run out.Saud and Kamran were found guilty of breaching ICC Article 2.5, which deals with “behavior or language likely to provoke an opposing player when a batsman’s wicket falls”.

In addition, one demerit point has been added to the disciplinary records of all three players, despite having no previous offenses in the last 24 months. The three players admitted their wrongdoing and accepted the punishment recommended by match referee David Boone, which did not require a formal hearing.
