In a categorical statement, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has asserted that there is no possibility of party chairman Imran Khan apologizing, terming it “impossible.”
Speaking to the media outside the Islamabad High Court, Raja emphasized that any expectation of an apology from the former prime minister is misplaced. “If someone thinks that Imran Khan will apologize, then there is no possibility of it.
Raja’s remarks come amidst a backdrop of demands from government ministers for an apology from Imran Khan over the May 9 incident. However, the PTI secretary general remained resolute in his stance, reiterating that an apology is out of the question.
In a related development, the Islamabad High Court restored a two-day meeting between Imran Khan and his colleagues, following a mutual agreement. Raja revealed that the party chairman’s rights have been secured, and meetings with his colleagues have been reinstated.
When queried about the possibility of consultations with other political parties, Raja disclosed that PTI is engaging in “very good discussions” with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) and other parties, including those from Sindh. He added that any decision will be taken in consultation with these parties.
Raja also took aim at the government, criticizing the prevailing lawlessness and kidnappings in the country. He urged MQM, PPP, and PML-N to reassess their stance and behavior, emphasizing that PTI is extending an invitation to parties that uphold democracy and the constitution.
