According to the reports, a notorious gang involved in fake marriages with the rich of Islamabad, Rawalpindi and adjoining areas has been rounded up by the police. The gang used to con rich people by marrying them only for the bride and other accomplices to ransack the groom’s house.
The team led by DSP Selman Shah assisted by ASI Mohsin and Constable Bilal Bama have apprehended Khobaro Hussain the head of the gang as well as some of the gang members including bride’s sister, mother, aunt, brother and father.
The police report states that the gang had more than covered over fifty fake marriages to the wealthy and made off with significant amount of cash and jewelry. Police too have served their purpose, tracking and arresting the culprits one by one. The accused were sent to jail on judicial remand.
