Pakistan, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, ISPR, Asim Munir, Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, Defence Cooperation, Riyadh
The military chiefs of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye have reaffirmed their firm commitment to defending the security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Asim Munir, Turkish Chief of General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu and Saudi Chief of General Staff General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili attended the meeting, held under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement (MJDA) in Riyadh.
The meeting reviewed the security situation in the region along with the threats facing Saudi Arabia. Participants strongly condemned attacks on Makkah and on civilian and economic infrastructure.
They praised the readiness and professional expertise of the Saudi Armed Forces in ensuring the Kingdom’s security.
The three sides also discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation among their armed forces, including intelligence sharing. Measures to improve military coordination and integrate capabilities were also considered.
Participants highlighted the long-standing ties and mutual trust between the peoples and armed forces of the three countries.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting reflected a shared commitment to strengthening the defence partnership under the agreement. The participants reaffirmed their firm commitment to joint defence and to defending the security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
