New satellite internet service companies in Pakistan.

Lahore: The interest of various companies in providing satellite internet services in Pakistan has increased, 6 satellite internet companies have been registered with SECP.

After the establishment of the Pakistan Space Activities Regulatory Board, 4 new companies were registered. The registered companies include Ether One, Flanautics, Galaxy Space and SpaceP, while Starlink and SpaceCell Pakistan are also registered as local companies.

SECP presented a report on the registration of satellite internet companies to the Senate Standing Committee. Details were provided on the letter of Chairman Senate Standing Committee Rana Mahmoodul Hassan.

According to SECP, the registration of a company alone does not allow the commercial provision of satellite internet services, NOC from the Pakistan Space Activities Regulatory Board is mandatory for companies, except SpaceP, no company has yet submitted an NOC from PSARB.

According to the SECP, the process is stalled due to the delay in the security clearance of foreign directors by the Ministry of Interior. The security clearance of foreign directors and shareholders of Starlink, Galaxy Space and SpaceCell Pakistan is pending.

After receiving the clearance of the Ministry of Interior and the NOC of PSARB, the PTA will issue the license. The launch of satellite internet services will be possible only after all regulatory requirements and security steps are completed.
