Karachi: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Karachi has taken action against two call centers involved in alleged fraud and has detained 73 people on the spot and started investigation.
According to sources, the operations were carried out at the alleged fraud call centers located in PECHS Block 6, Tariq Road, Karachi. During the operation, a functional CRM system was seized which contained data related to customers and call center operations, while other important digital evidence was also taken into custody and sent for forensic examination.
According to NCCIA officials, FIR Nos. 92/2026 and 93/2026 have been registered as a result of the operation. One identified operator was arrested, while two people have been declared absconding accused in the cases.
Officials say more facts are likely to emerge after forensic examination of seized digital evidence and CRM data, while further investigation into the matter is underway.
