Major action has been taken against officers who, despite being retired from the department, keep working with Islamabad Police at various capacities and were allegedly using Police uniforms and official facilities.
IG Islamabad, Captain R Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry has made it clear that after retirement, using government influence, authority and office uniform will not be tolerated and allowed under any circumstances.
This decision by IG Islamabad, sends clear message of discipline, merit and accountability for the police department. Rules and law will be applied at all levels and no one is allowed to practice authoritative control on the basis of their previous post in the department.
