Tehran: Mohammad Mokhbar, an advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, has warned that if Iran is deprived of flights and airport facilities, other countries in the region will also not be safe for air operations.
Mohammad Mokhbar said in a statement on X that flights in the region will either be open to everyone or to no one. He said that if Iran is not allowed to operate flights and receive airport services, no country in the region will have access to these facilities.
He added that the Iranian people will never forget the behavior of countries that follow hostile policies against Iran in collaboration with the United States. According to Mohammad Mokhbar, Iran’s position is clear and no discriminatory measures regarding air travel in the region will be accepted.
This statement comes at a time when several countries in the region have imposed restrictions or suspensions on flights of Iranian airlines following pressure from US sanctions. The US measures include Iranian aviation-related entities and 27 airlines.
