A woman made millions of rupees by defrauding her friends and relatives by selling them properties at low prices. A woman named Wang Wei did this over a period of 5 years. The woman’s friends and family members did not even suspect it.
According to Chinese media reports, Wang Wei started this fraud in 2019 and no one knew about it for 5 years. The woman, who is over 30 years old, started this fraud when her credit card bill increased a lot after buying more luxurious items. The woman’s husband, Cheng, also did not know about the fraud, but insisted on living frugally to pay off the 450,000 yuan loan taken by his fatherWang Wei discovered that a local company had allotted new apartments to different people.
After that, he used Photoshop to alter the property certificates and floor plans, and then had locksmiths change the locks on several apartments. According to a locksmith, Wang Wei had presented documents stating that she was the owner of the apartments, so we did not suspect her.
After gaining control of the apartments, Wang sold them to 42 relatives and friends, including her aunt and husband’s sister. She sold the apartments at low prices, such as selling an apartment worth 1.1 million yuan for just 600,000 yuan. Over 5 years, the woman transferred a large portion of the money she obtained through fraud to the account of a live streamer from Harbin province, China, named Zheng Zhen.
According to reports, the woman spent more than 9.8 million yuan on Zheng Zhen, gifted him expensive cars, and even bought properties for him. Apart from this, the woman also spent millions of yuan on other male live streamers. None of her husband or family members knew about the money transferred by Wang Wei the husband continued to pay the loan.
After learning about the fraud, Zheng cooperated with the police and helped recover the money. So far, 8 million yuan has been recovered by the authorities. Interestingly, over the course of 5 years, the woman sold 80 apartments and no one knew, that is, the people who actually owned these apartments.
