Sargodha: The deputy tehsildar and clerk fled the court after their bail applications were rejected in a case of alleged fraudulent transfer of 60 kanals of valuable government land.
According to the spokesperson of the Anti-Corruption Department, the Special Judge Anti-Corruption rejected the bail applications of the accused Naib Tehsildar and the clerk.As soon as the bail applications were rejected, both of the accused took advantage of the opportunity to escape from the court premises.
They were accused of transferring 60 kanals of government land through alleged forgery and illegal means. According to the spokesperson of the Anti-Corruption Department, teams are being formed to arrest the absconding accused and raids are being carried out at various places.
