A Ugandan woman was arrested at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport for attempting to smuggle drugs into Pakistan. She had arrived from Dubai and was caught by the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) after exhibiting suspicious behavior.

During questioning, the woman confessed to carrying cocaine-filled capsules inside her body. She was taken to a hospital, where 11 capsules weighing 144 grams were recovered. Further investigation revealed that she had a Nigerian accomplice in Lahore, who was supposed to receive the smuggled drugs.

The ANF maintained contact between the woman and her Nigerian accomplice, who had instructed her to travel from Karachi to Lahore by air to complete the delivery. The Nigerian national was later arrested in Lahore’s Firdous Market.

This operation demonstrates Pakistan’s commitment to national and international security without compromising diplomatic relations. The ANF has registered a case against the suspects under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and further investigation is underway to apprehend more members of the network.
