There is good news for Pakistani citizens, after a short break, the Federal Government has allowed citizens to apply for jobs in Uzbekistan again.

The Federal Government has lifted the ban on Pakistani workers and allowed them to find jobs in Uzbekistan. This decision came after the Pakistani embassy in Tashkent proposed to lift the ban.

The Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE) has issued a notice confirming that the Pakistani embassy in Tashkent has recommended registering workers to help them find jobs in Uzbekistan.

Pakistanis must get their visas protected before leaving for work abroad. Pakistani workers going to Uzbekistan on a work visa must obtain protection from the Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment.

The Bureau of Immigration and Overseas Employment Protector has provided two fee options, one is the immigrant fee through an Overseas Employment Promoter and the other is the immigrant fee through a Director of Employment.

The total protector fee for applicants seeking employment through an Overseas Employment Promoter is Rs 22,200, however, an additional Rs 6,000 may also be charged from applicants during the processing process.

However, the total fee for those seeking employment directly is Rs 9,200. This includes Rs 4,000 towards OPF fund, Rs 2,500 insurance premium, Rs 2,500 registration fee and Rs 200 OEC fee.

This decision came ahead of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s official visit to Uzbekistan in the last week of February 2025.
