The trend of terrorism in Pakistan is continuously increasing, and evidence of this is available from the Global Terrorism Index 2025 report, in which Pakistan has reached the second position in the list of 163 countries affected by terrorism.
According to the report, the number of deaths in terrorist attacks in Pakistan has increased by 45 percent to 1081 during the last year, and it has moved from the fourth position in 2024 to the second position in 2025.
The Global Terrorism Index 2025, published by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), provides a comprehensive summary of the main trends and patterns of terrorism over the past 17 years.
The report ranks 163 countries in terms of the impact of terrorism, including the number of terrorist incidents, deaths, injuries, and hostages.
