The interim rector of COMSATS University, Islamabad, Dr. Sajid Qamar has defied the orders of the Presidency and the Ministry of Science and Technology. The mandates of the selection board held for the promotion of his favorites, which were not only rejected by Professor Bushra Mirza and Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Women University before being signed, but also sent a dissenting note, are making another attempt to pressure his subordinate campus directors to sign these same mandates again and are making another attempt to get them signed so that they can pave the way for the illegal promotions of his favorites.
It should be remembered that the Presidency and the Ministry have previously forbidden the interim rector in writing to abstain from this selection board.
