Vice President Islamabad Estate Agents Association Babar Bhatti has said that the task force proposals will prove to be the beginning of the revival of the real estate sector, so the Prime Minister of Pakistan should announce a construction package soon and start positive progress.
The suggestions of the stakeholders are excellent for bringing the real estate sector on track, but the government needs to take practical steps on them. The reduction in advance taxes and the abolition of federal excise duty will benefit both sellers and buyers, which will create a new trend of investment in this sector.
He said that the government should encourage banks to declare the construction sector as a priority sector, which will promote broader economic growth. These steps will not only pave the way for the revival of the economy but will also help in utilizing the full potential of Pakistan’s housing sector.
