It is worth noting that the Deputy Prime Minister had previously announced a retail price of sugar at Rs 164 per kg. However, prices continue to fluctuate, with variations existing across different regions and cities.

The fluctuations in sugar prices can be attributed to various factors, including the cost of sugarcane, efficiency of sugar mills, government policies, seasonal demand, and global market trends.
