Russia announces $1 billion loan to Iran

Moscow: Russia will provide a loan of one billion dollars to Iran.

According to Iranian media, the Russian government has completed all preparations to provide a loan of one billion dollars to Iran and the money is ready to be transferred; however, there is disagreement among various Iranian government agencies on what purpose this money should be used for.

This development comes at a time when Iran is facing widespread sanctions from the United States, including sanctions targeting Iran’s oil exports, banking sector and access to the global financial system.
