New-look Pakistan train at Edgbaston ahead of third Test

Pakistan’s newly reshuffled Test team held a training session at Edgbaston Cricket Stadium in Birmingham ahead of the third and final Test against England, set to begin on September 9.

The session came after a major shake-up of the squad following heavy defeats at Leeds and Lord’s. Under the captaincy of Babar Azam, the Green Shirts are now looking to end the tour with at least a consolation win.

England, on the other hand, will look to complete a 3-0 series whitewash, drawing confidence from Joe Root’s strong form with the bat.

Under the supervision of head coach Mike Hesson and his coaching staff, the players took part in batting and bowling net practice, along with fitness and fielding drills.

Saim Ayub featured in the session alongside new entrants Muhammad Imran Junior, Saad Baig, and Razaullah.

The Test squad will have a rest day tomorrow before resuming preparations for the third Test.
