The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) of Pakistan has revealed that more than 10,000 Pakistani citizens attempting to illegally migrate abroad have been arrested in Iran this year. According to FIA officials, from January 1 to December 15, a total of 10,454 Pakistani nationals were detained in Iran for attempting to enter the country through illegal routes, particularly via Balochistan.
These individuals were intercepted by Iranian authorities, and after their arrests at various points throughout the year, they were subsequently handed over to Pakistani authorities in the border town of Taftan, located in Chagai district.
In addition to Pakistanis, a significant number of Afghan citizens have also been attempting to travel to European countries through Balochistan in search of a better future. However, many of these individuals are also apprehended by Iranian authorities during their journey.
