Lahore: The Punjab government has decided to celebrate Basant across the province next year.
According to government sources, Basant will be celebrated in an organized manner across Punjab in the second week of March next year.
Sources said that an administrative plan has been prepared to allow kite flying at specific locations, and a plan of action has been formulated to keep the prices of kites and strings under control.
Sources said that the Punjab government will legislate for the Basant festival, while safety measures and regulations regarding kite flying will be part of the law.
According to sources, the designated locations and rules and regulations for the Basant festival are expected to be announced soon.
