Good news for citizens and tourists traveling between Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: the Babusar Top Road, closed for three days due to heavy snowfall, has reopened to traffic.

After the National Highway Authority (NHA) cleared the snow from the road, traffic flow has been restored from both sides of Gilgit and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Heavy snowfall in the Babusar Top area suspended traffic due to snow accumulation and bad weather, causing difficulties for passengers and tourists. However, after removing the snow from the road and making the road usable, the NHA staff opened it for traffic.

Police said that the Babusar Top Road will remain open for all types of traffic until 4 pm, while in view of the severity of the weather, heavy fog and possible dangers, all types of traffic will be closed after 4 pm. This measure is aimed at ensuring the safety of passengers and tourists.

The rehabilitation of the road will facilitate people travelling between Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while tourists will also be able to enjoy the snow-capped mountains, breathtaking natural scenery and pleasant cold weather of Babusar Top.

However, in view of the difficult mountain route of Babusar Top and the uncertain weather conditions, travelers are advised to check the latest road conditions before starting their journey, adhere to the scheduled times and follow the instructions of the concerned authorities to avoid any unpleasant situation.
