Lahore: National cricket team wicketkeeper-batsman Muhammad Rizwan has sent a second letter to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
In the letter, he has sought an explanation for not being informed in writing about the inquiry so far and the delay in returning his mobile phone.
Muhammad Rizwan has written in the letter that he has not been provided with anything in writing regarding the inquiry, while the NCCIA has not contacted me regarding further action. On August 31, when the mobile phone was taken from me in England, I provided the password and my mobile was examined in my presence.
The letter states that the mobile phone was taken from me on August 31 on the assurance of returning it within three hours and I was told that the digital forensics of my phone would be completed soon.
The letter states that during my appearance at the NCCIA on September 10, the authorities had access to my unlocked mobile phone and in my presence, the NCCIA officials reviewed my mobile phone messages and other content. Muhammad Rizwan’s letter states that I did not refuse to provide the mobile password at any stage, may I be informed on what date and time my presence at the NCCIA is required?
The letter requests that I be informed in writing of the reasons for the inquiry, I have always cooperated with the NCCIA with all the required information.
Muhammad Rizwan wrote in the letter that my phone is in your possession, my phone should be returned to me without delay and official procedures should be adopted to contact me and contact should be made at my home address.
