Prominent Pakistani film actress Meera, whose real name is Irtaza Arbab, was on her way to Canada for a show when, at the Niagara Falls border, it was revealed during an interview that she was banned from entering Canada. She was made to wait for several hours for questioning and then ordered to be deported back to the US.
A few months ago, she had come to Canada with her producer to promote her film Psycho and had also performed on stage without a permit, after which she was banned from entering Canada.
It is worth noting that she is also banned from entering the United Kingdom. Recently, in a video circulating on social media, she is requesting UK authorities to allow her entry to the UK, as she wants to see her elder sister, who is in critical condition.
