Islamabad Police continues to take indiscriminate action against traffic violators

During the month of February, actions were taken against 61,842 drivers for not using helmets, fancy, non-pattern and non-number plates, without helmets, illegal parking, violation of signs, not using seat belts and other violations of laws.

According to the details, in the light of special orders of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Traffic Police is taking special steps to maintain traffic flow in the federal capital Islamabad, further improve the integrated traffic system and ensure implementation of traffic laws.

In this regard, Islamabad Traffic Police took legal action against 61,842 drivers for traffic law violations in the month of February, including 5,747 for non-standard number plates, 3,769 for not wearing helmets, 14,163 for illegal parking, 2,340 for using the opposite direction, 6,397 for signal violation, 2,955 for seat belts and 1,087 for using phones, 854 for tinted windows and 25,617 for other violations, while 8,458 vehicles and motorcycles were stopped in different police stations for serious violations.

Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad Captain (R) Syed Zeeshan Haider said that all zonal Issuing special instructions to the DSPs, he said that strict implementation of the laws should be ensured to reduce traffic violations in Islamabad and indiscriminate action should be taken against those obstructing the flow of traffic, especially those who affect traffic discipline.

He further said that parking should be ensured in the designated parking spaces in commercial centers and no concession should be given to those violating the no-parking rule. Pedestrians have the right to walk on the sidewalk. No parking or obstruction of any kind will be tolerated on the sidewalk.

Ensure compliance with urban traffic laws. Compliance with traffic laws is a guarantee of safe life. Citizens are appealed to cooperate with the Islamabad Police by abiding by the law so that citizens can be protected from accidents while maintaining an integrated traffic system in the city.
