Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has said that the cost of the 40-day-long Hajj package has been reduced by Rs 25,000 to Rs 1,050,000. According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Religious Affairs on Tuesday, the third installment of Rs 450,000 will have to be paid in the long package.
The short Hajj package covering 25 days has been fixed at Rs 1.1 million with a further reduction of Rs 50,000. While the third installment of the short Hajj package will be Rs 500,000.The third installment must be deposited in designated banks from February 6 to February 14. Every Hajj pilgrim will receive information about this on the mobile app ‘Pak Hajj’.
According to the statement, more than five and a half billion rupees are being refunded to the pilgrims of the year 2024. There are seven different categories of refunds. The reason for the difference in the amount is the Mina Zone, Makkah accommodation, Makkah. Also, the benefit of Qurbani refund and savings in airfares is also being given to the pilgrims.14 percent (9588) of the pilgrims of the year 2024 are being transferred Rs 20,000 to their bank accounts.
5 percent (3358) of the pilgrims will be given Rs 35,000.
19 percent (12981) pilgrims will receive Rs 50,000,
23 percent (16037) pilgrims will receive Rs 75,000,
26 percent (17828) pilgrims will receive Rs 90,000,
10 percent (6784) pilgrims will receive Rs 110,000, while 3 percent (2228) pilgrims will receive Rs 140,000 through the relevant bank branch. The ministry will start transferring the money to the designated banks in the next two days.
