According to Times Higher Education, Oxford University has been named the world’s best university for the 9th consecutive year, and two Chinese universities have been ranked among the best universities in Asia, while 47 Pakistani universities are part of the ranking.
According to Times Higher Education, Quaid-e-Azam University is ranked 401 to 500 in the world and 121 in Asia, NUST University is ranked 152 in Asia, COMSATS is ranked 157, Air University, COMSATS, Government College University Faisalabad are ranked 601 to 800.
Sukkur IBA, UET Taxila and Malakand University are also ranked between 601 and 800, while International Islamic University, LUMS and Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan are ranked between 801 and 1000.
According to Times Higher Education, 12 universities in Pakistan were ranked between 1001 and 1200.
The ranking ranks 2,000 universities from 115 countries, while the ranking is based on educational and research quality, international standards and performance.
Times Higher Education further said that 48 universities in Pakistan have been placed in the ‘reporters’ category, while universities in the reporter category have not submitted complete data.
