Karachi: 78 expensive phones have been recovered from 5 air hostesses of the National Airline PIA’s flight from Dubai to Multan.
Customs sources said that air hostesses Nishat and Sadaf Nasir, and flight stewards Muhammad Imran and Khalid Khan were involved in the smuggling. PIA’s senior purser Faisal Pervez is also said to be involved in the smuggling of mobile phones.
Customs officials recovered 24 iPhones from both the air hostesses on prior information. On the identification of the female hostesses, the three male hostesses were called back from the hotel and 54 iPhones were recovered.
All the air hostesses involved in the smuggling have been detained and further action has been initiated.
