Indian police have arrested Delhi’s ‘Lady Dawn’ after years of efforts.
According to Indian media reports, Delhi Police has arrested a 33-year-old woman ‘Lady Don’ on charges of possessing 270 grams of heroin, which is worth about Rs 1 crore in the international market.
According to media reports, the woman had been on the radar of law enforcement agencies for a long time and had managed to evade the police. The woman was also running her husband’s gang while he was in jail. Indian media said that the arrested woman’s husband has dozens of cases of murder, extortion, and arms smuggling registered against him.
On the other hand, Hyderabad police in India caught 247 people red-handed on charges of molesting and misbehaving with women at the Nampally exhibition. The exhibition ran from January 3 to February 17 and special police teams maintained strict vigil to ensure the safety of women and children.
The accused who tried to kidnap the woman were arrested along with 37 people and were booked under legal proceedings, out of which 2 people were sentenced to 2 days in jail.33 people were fined Rs 1050 each. One person was sentenced to 2 days in jail and a fine of Rs 50. 190 people were released after the warning.
