A bride in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh has created a stir after giving birth to a baby just two days after her wedding. The groom’s sister has alleged that the bride deliberately hid her baby bump in a lehenga so that it was not recognizable. According to the groom’s sister, the bride wore the lehenga above the waist in such a way that no one could guess that she was pregnant.
According to Indian media, just two days after the wedding, the bride began to feel severe pain, and when she was taken to the hospital, it was discovered that she was in labor. The news shocked the groom and his family, who say they had no idea that the bride was already pregnant.
The groom’s sister alleged that the bride cleverly hid her baby bump during the wedding with a lehenga, which did not arouse anyone’s suspicion. She said that the bride wore the lehenga from the waist up, and they thought that she was doing it because of the cold, so no one paid much attention to the matter.
The wedding took place on February 24, and the next day, the bride was taken to her in-laws’ house, where the traditional “Munna Khai” ritual was performed. On the morning of February 26, the bride served tea to the family, but her condition deteriorated by evening. When she was taken to the hospital, doctors confirmed that she was pregnant and had entered the labor stage. Within just two hours, the bride gave birth to a baby boy.
The groom’s family says they had no suspicions about the bride’s past before the wedding, while the bride’s parents claim that there was a prior connection between the girl and the boy and their marriage was fixed in May 2023. However, the groom refuted this claim, saying that the marriage was fixed in October, and he denied any relationship with the bride.
Now the groom’s family has demanded that the bride tell the truth about the child’s father, while the groom has rejected the marriage and demanded an investigation.
