The Federal Government has decided to investigate the Port Qasim Authority’s valuable land scandal, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has formed a three-member inquiry committee.

According to sources, Senator Faisal Vawda had revealed that the valuable land of the Port Qasim Authority was given at a fraction of the price, and the federal government has taken notice of the mega scandal. The government has decided to investigate the valuable land scandal of the Port Qasim Authority, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has formed a three-member inquiry committee.

The valuable land of the Port Qasim Authority has been given for a small and medium industrial park, and a three-member committee will investigate financial irregularities in the leasing of the land. The Chairman Prime Minister Inspection Commission, the Directors of the Inspection Commission, IB, and FIA will be part of the committee, and the Prime Minister has also assigned a special task to the committee.

The committee will review the legal strategy of the Port Qasim Authority to lift the injunction against the cancellation of the lease.

In addition, the Port Qasim Authority Board will investigate the factors behind the out-of-court settlement with the plaintiff, while the committee will also review all other legal considerations, including the settlement.
