A cylinder explosion took place at a Mughal Jewelers shop located in the famous Sarafa Bazaar of Sargodha, causing panic in the area.
According to rescue sources, the explosion took place in a jewelers shop located in Block 3. The explosion was so severe that all the windows of the shop were broken while the shutters were also torn off.
Four people, including two women and two men, were badly burned in the blast.
The injured were immediately shifted to DHQ Sargodha, where the condition of many of them is said to be critical.
Eyewitnesses said that three nearby shops were also badly affected as a result of the explosion.
According to initial information, the explosion occurred when a lighter was lit due to gas leakage in the shop.
