A court has delivered its verdict in the case of the gang rape and murder of a prisoner, Sabeel, at Adiala Jail. Four inmates, Naqash, Waqas, Bilal, and Asif, have been sentenced to death twice each for their roles in the heinous crime. In addition to the death penalty, each convict will also pay a fine of Rs 5.5 lakh.
The convicts were found guilty of gang-raping Sabeel and subsequently murdering him by hanging him with a cloth. The case was registered at Sadar Baruni Police Station based on a complaint filed by the Superintendent of Adiala Jail.
The verdict was delivered by Additional Sessions Judge Afshan Ijaz Sufi. This case highlights the severe consequences of criminal actions within the prison system and the importance of upholding justice.
