Islamabad: FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Rawalpindi launched a crackdown against a suspect identified as Raja Wajahat Iqbal, looting millions of rupees from people in the name of Italy work visa.
The suspect is accused of plundering twenty-seven lakh and fifty thousand rupees from the complainant’s daughter in the pretext of providing her work visa for Italy. However, later on, the visa was not provided to the plaintiff’s daughter and nor was the amount paid returned. Due to this, the complainant suffered a financial crisis.
The arrest of the suspect was carried out under the supervision of Investigation Officer Sub-Inspector Zafar Iqbal. Further probing sessions are being held with the suspect and other aspects of the case are being examined.
FIA conducts unbiased operations against human smuggling and visa fraud cases and citizens are appealed to consult legal and valid sources for moving abroad or obtaining work visas.
