An innocent citizen Asif Mahmood requested for justice to DG FIA Islamabad that he is a resident of Chakk 124 Tehsil Mian Channu, District Khenwal. Mr Asif Claimed that on 26 July 2024, the alleged raid happened around 12 am to 01 pm-midnight. The personnel of Thallamba police station and members of the FIA team broke into their house and started brutal surpass without taking into consideration any humanitarian grounds alongside harassing our women at home. They started making videos on their mobile phones.
Moreover, they started locks inside the rooms without any lady constable and started collecting money and other valuables from the lockers and drawers. Furthermore, they took our CCTV devices with them to make them more secure and evidence-free. Despite asking several times they didn’t tell us about the reason of the raid and search warrant.
Mr Asif Mahmood further said that they arrested my nephew and took one black Haval Car number 516. After taking all the money and valuables they started blackmailing us that no need to discuss anything with anyone. Otherwise, we will arrest all your women and will file a case of money laundering.
Meanwhile, their frontman’s named Malik Sohail and Naiz Ahmed started negotiating with us for the settlement and called us to Islamabad on the very next day in Sector F-6 in a private house, where they offered us to return half of our belongings and they told us that they will take 05 cr from the total cash collected 18 cr and 53 laks with full recovery of gold weighing 300 tola and other valuables. And Mr Asif Mahmood agreed on it.
Latterly they declined after a discussion with Syed Haider Naqvi (FIA) and Anayat Ullah (FIA) officials. during negotiations, they returned Hawal car 516 and my nephew. After all that Mr Asif Mahmood is saying that we filed a written complaint against the whole scenario in the concerned police station (Kohsar) Islamabad. Right after this again they started approaching us and offered a new number of collections. Which they presented to be 15 cr and 75 lacs. And they threatened us to agree on the same percentage. We had no option but to agree on their terms. In all this scenario we started visiting different private places for bargains mostly at Sanjwal town attock.
After struggling for three consecutive days, they decided on a time and day which was (31-07-2024) but Mr. Malik Sohail brought in one new story that he had already given 2 cr to Director FIA Quetta, therefore Malik Sohail agreed to give his personal cheque for one month of 2 cr in place of Director FIA.
In total, they decided to give us 8.75 cr in cash, whole gold, and valuables with a cheque of 2 cr of month. On the said date Mr Haider Naqvi (FIA) and Anaayt Ullah (FIA) along with a few other officials came with bags around 11 pm in Malik Sohail Office Sanjwal town. and on oath, they assured us that they would recover the missing valuables and started accusing the local police station of the missing items. after that, Mr Sohail didn’t give us his personal cheque and after several calls he gave a temporary guarantee cheque of Sanjwal town of 2 crore with a validation date of 30-06-2025.from that date yet they have been missing, and made no contacts.
Now the question here is why Mr Asif Mahmood agree on a settlement if he is innocent? And al this matter needs strict action by DG FIA and also by the Supreme Court and PM to probe the fair inquiry as this matter defames the entire FIA Institution because of a few officials.
Further, the IG Punjab needs to start an inquiry about the Tallamba Police station for being involved in illegal raids of any one residence without a lady constable.
