CDA Mazdoor Union Chaudhry Yasin Group Leader and Secretary General of Pakistan Workers Federation Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin said in his statement that history has once again given the CDA workers an opportunity today to decide the truth according to their conscience between thieves and watchmen with the power of their vote slip for a better future for themselves and their children and for the development of the organization. Before using their precious votes, keeping in mind the past performance should be the criteria for choosing the new leadership.
The CDA Mazdoor Union was elected for the first time in 2006 by the votes of the workers and not only allotted plots to more than 4000 regular employees but also during its tenure, CDA allotted plots to 500 widows, established a widow fund, provided full basic Eid bonus Allowance, increase in the number of pilgrims, double salary of fire brigade employees, upgradation of all employees without discrimination, permanence of daily wages, contract, muster roll and overage employees, Hafiz and priest allowance, fragrance allowance, computer allowance, hazard allowance, bad smell allowance, 20% special allowance with arrears, linking house rent ceiling to monthly salary, recruitment of employee children on death quota and approval of more than 6,000 more plots for CDA regular and retired employees, including widows, the draw of which was held on April 30, which was blocked by the anti-labour group through the court, due to which the matter is still pending in the courts.
We assure our CDA workers that while further enhancing our past performance, which is seen with pride all over Pakistan, we will address the remaining issues of the employees as per our manifesto. We will resolve the issue on priority basis. We have the support of more than two thousand unions, federations and associations from all the provinces of Pakistan, including Azad Kashmir. Inshallah, victory has become the destiny of the CDA Mazdoor union and the workers of CDA will, with by the power of their votes, expel the incompetent groups and outsiders from CDA forever today.
