Capital Development Authority takes major steps to beautify Islamabad, enhance citizen facilities and promote sports.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) held a crucial meeting under the chairmanship of Chairman CDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, to discuss key initiatives aimed at beautifying Islamabad and improving citizen facilities. The meeting focused on implementing the beautification plan, enhancing solid waste management, and promoting sports and healthy activities. Key decisions included:

 

  1. Allocating space for 25 football and 25 cricket grounds, with gradual development plans
  2. Establishing five cricket academies in Islamabad
  3. Completing the Blue Area pedestrian track and food court
  4. Developing a parking plaza in the Blue Area
  5. Installing modern lights in parks, including F-9 Park and Lake View Park
  6. Launching electric buses and finalizing projects like cable cars, theme parks, and fairways
  7. Upgrading major highways, including Expressway, Margalla Road, and Faisal Avenue
  8. Renovating roundabouts and implementing urban forest projects to reduce pollution

 

The CDA aims to make Islamabad a sports-friendly and beautiful city, with a focus on enhancing citizen facilities and promoting tourism. The authority has already earned Rs. 7.6 million from an open auction of paddle courts and plans to continue improving the city’s infrastructure.
