IG Islamabad Captain (R) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry made a surprise visit to the Central Police Office last night and inquired about the working hours of the employees present in the office and issued important instructions on the issue of long duty.
According to sources, IG Islamabad asked the employees, “Brother, what time do you guys come to the office?” The employees replied, “Sir, at 7 AM,” to which the IG asked, “And when do you leave?” The employees said, “Sir, at 2 or 3 AM.”
After hearing the long duty hours of the employees, IG Sohail Chaudhry said, “After today, have breakfast with your children, come to the office at 9 am and go home at 5 pm, as long as I am here.”
This message from the IG Islamabad is being considered important for the welfare of the police employees. Due to continuous and long duty, the police officers not only face professional pressure but also have their family life affected.
According to sources, the emphasis on coming to the office on time and going home at the prescribed times by the new police command has also boosted the morale of the officers. Police employees say that with balanced duty hours, the officers can perform their duties more refreshed, while also giving adequate time to the family.
