ISLAMABAD – A shocking story of abuse, harassment, and torture has surfaced surrounding Mr. Humayun Masood Sandhu, the Deputy Inspector General and the head of the Counter Terrorism Wing (CTW) of the Federal Investigation Agency. The allegations against him leveled by his ex-spouse, Sania Shahid, Assistant Director at the FIA, have made this nation shocked, as she accused him of torturing her repetitively, forcing her to induce abortion and wrongful custody. Sania Shahid claims that her ex-husband, Humayun Sandhu, had a professional relationship at first but later turned sour after Mr. Sandhu abused his authority to use her as a slave. She had outright declined to form any personal relationships with him, but she maintains that Humayun Sandhu always used to compel her into such relationships due to his dominant position. The nerve-chilling account begins with Shahid discussing how Humayun Sandhu’s alleged romantic advances made her uncomfortable and how he used to rebuke her in the office back when she was still mourning the death of her mother. He bluffed to show concern but not too long thereafter started expressing his affection towards her such as messaging her during work hours and taking her after work for meetings.
Sania Shahid further said that Humayun Masood filed a false case against her and got her transferred, her office and residence were banned and her personal belongings were removed without permission. In her petition, she has appealed to the higher authorities to take action against Humayun Masood and provide justice to restore his honor and dignity. On 1st January 2025, Sania Shahid’s application was declared admissible and a full investigation was ordered.
