Another harassment case is highlighted at Khuwaja Farid Engineering University after the recent one, in which the professor of the IT Department, Aqeel-ur-Rehman, introduced a new marking methodology ( 10 Marks per Kiss).
One more female student of BS Physics (4th semester), was illegally detained for 3 to 4 hours in a room of the university’s security department. According to her elder sister, Aliza is doing her PhD in Physics at the same university and had received a scholarship of Rs 1.3 million from HEC.
The university’s VC (Sulaiman Tahir) and HOD (Bilal Tahir) pressured her sister to withdraw her share of the scholarship and severely tortured her if she refused, and threatened to cancel her registration.
On May 18, when Aliza was present at an exhibition at the university, security in-charge Khurram Shahzad came along with armed personnel and female security and asked Aliza to call her sister and sign the papers surrendering the scholarship.
On Aliza’s refusal, she was forcibly dragged to the security department; her mobile and purse were snatched and locked in a room with a lock from the outside, and security personnel were deployed outside. Later, she was forced to call her family on a loudspeaker.
Upon receiving the information, Aliza’s sister, Asma Ali, approached the court, on whose notice the police immediately took action and rescued Aliza from the locked room.

However, Aliza and her father, Shaukat Ali alleged that the administration is constantly pressuring them to withdraw the case and sign a peace agreement, or they will face severe consequences and her educational future will be destroyed.
