Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Peshawar has seized a large consignment of foreign-origin smuggled and contraband goods worth Rs50 million during a successful anti-smuggling operation conducted at Nazimpur, Pindi Road.
According to the official statement, the Customs team intercepted an offending vehicle and recovered a variety of illicit items including foreign-origin cigarettes, betel nuts, guttka and hukka products, all being transported without the required legal documentation.
The seized goods and vehicle have been taken into custody under the Customs Act, 1969.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) reaffirmed its resolve to curb smuggling and illicit trade, emphasizing that coordinated field actions remain central to protecting national economic interests and ensuring strict border enforcement.
