China has expressed regret over India’s recent military actions against Pakistan, emphasizing the need for restraint from both sides. According to a statement reported by the French news agency AFP, China voiced deep concern over the developments and urged both India and Pakistan, both nuclear-armed neighbors, to prioritize peace and stability. The Chinese Foreign Ministry stressed the inseparability of India and Pakistan as regional neighbors, alongside China itself, and reiterated China’s stance against all forms of terrorism. The spokesperson called on both parties to remain calm, composed, and avoid any actions that could further escalate tensions.

Meanwhile, Turkey reaffirmed its support for Pakistan, with the Turkish Ambassador in Islamabad meeting Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to express full solidarity. The meeting highlighted Turkey’s condemnation of what it described as India’s unprovoked violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and lamented the tragic loss of innocent lives. Discussions between the two sides focused on regional security concerns, with both agreeing to maintain close coordination and cooperation. Turkey reiterated its support through a statement on social media platform X, where the Pakistani Foreign Ministry echoed the shared commitment to regional stability.

The situation escalated when India launched an attack on civilian areas in Pakistan during the night, an act viewed as a declaration of war. In response, Pakistan’s armed forces retaliated strongly, reportedly downing five Indian warplanes, including three Rafale jets, and destroying multiple military posts, including a brigade headquarters. According to Pakistani officials, the Indian military acknowledged defeat by raising a white flag at the Chura complex along the Line of Control. Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, speaking to the media, confirmed the extent of the damage inflicted on Indian positions and reiterated that the Pakistani military’s counter-operations were still ongoing. Continuous reports suggest that the Indian forces continue to suffer significant losses as the situation remains tense.
