Sialkot: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that I think that administrative units should be created in Pakistan as well.
While talking to a TV show, Khawaja Asif said that the proposal of provinces has been a topic of discussion for the last two months, I think that administrative units should be created in Pakistan as well, this happens all over the world, if there is a proposal of 12, then make 12, but it should not be created keeping in mind language, race or political interests.
He said that our population has increased, people should have access to facilities, Afghanistan had 8, 10 provinces which were divided into 30, 32 provinces, the powers of provincial capitals should be transferred to administrative units, the concentration of power should not be in Lahore, Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar.
Khawaja Asif said that the funds transferred from the center are left at the mercy of the provincial governments; in fact, the destination of these funds is the local government institutions, and the local government institutions are at the mercy of the provincial governments.
The Defense Minister said that politicians should think that this power is a trust of the people, we politicians have the point of view that we want to use all the power ourselves.
