Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s 70-year-old sister, Noreen Niazi, has been shifted from Kot Lakhpat Jail to Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) after her health deteriorated.
According to family sources, Noreen Niazi was shifted to the hospital after complaining of heart pain, but her family was not informed about the transfer. Lawyer Rana Mudassar Umar also confirmed her transfer to the hospital and said that initial medical examinations and tests are being conducted.
Noreen Niazi is currently in custody under the orders of the Punjab government. Her health condition has deteriorated at a time when the case of extending the detention of Imran Khan’s three sisters for another 30 days is pending in the Lahore High Court.
