People of Pakistan Convener Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has congratulated the newly elected leadership of PFUJ, especially Rana Muhammad Azeem, on becoming President and Shakeel Ahmed, on becoming Secretary General.
He said that I hope that PFUJ will play an effective role in the fight for the protection of press freedom and the rights of journalists. He said that journalists have always stood against oppression and oppression and PFUJ will also stand firm in this difficult period.
The elections of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) were held from February 21 to 21, 2012, in which the winning office bearers were elected for the next two years, including Rana Muhammad Azeem, Shakeel Ahmed, Secretary General, Shehr Bano, Finance Secretary, and Ehtesham-ul-Haq, Information Secretary.
The vice presidents are Ashraf Majeed, Dana Habib-ur-Rehman, Ghulam Akbar Jafri, Junaid Khanzada, Syed Azhar. Hussain, Qaiser Mirza, Zubair Ayub, while the female vice presidents include Farhat Fatima, Nasira Atiq, Ghazala Fasih and Saima Nawaz. International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) President Dominic Paredley also participated in these elections.
