Our mission to reduce Corruption in Pakistan continues. We are analyzing the several institutions of Pakistan that are champion in corruption and causing billions of dollars losses to the National exchequer. In this regard, the recent development is about massive corruption in IESCO.
Recently team of The INQUIRER received a documents from the Chairman Anti-Corruption Cell (CBA) Union Islamabad, Syed Manzoor Hussain Shah. In a complain letter by him to Secretary Energy (Power Division),DG Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), MD PPMC, Evacuee Trust Complex, and Chairman BOD, IESCO Islamabad. He said about the corruption of billions.
Mr Mazoor highlighted massive corruption in IESCO, Misuse of Public Funds continuing results of the losses of billions, ultimately burden on the poor electricity users. He requested all the relevant authorities to stop illegal induction of Muhammad Asif Khan Advocate as Chief Law Officer IESCO AS he is one of the corrupt person and not fit for the job.
He further said that I, Syed Manzoor Hussian Shah an Office bearer of CBA Union (Labor Unity of IESCO) would like to invite attention of the relevant authorities towards the damage of public interest at large.
As every Pakistani from low tier to the highest echelons, has been burdened by excessive load shedding during the past few years, and to add insult to injury, the prices of electricity have been so increased to such a level that it has become increasingly for the public at large to pay extremely inflated electricity bills just because of corruption.
Mr Manzoor Hussian shah filed a complaint before chairman NAB for investigation of IESCO, Billing Fraud and other irregularities. On 16.08.2019, same case was referred by NAB to FIA for further investigation, Inquriy NO. 138/2020 against IESCO and others is pending with FIA ACC Islamabad.
The question here is that why after the massive news reports, complaints and petitions, what results the Nation of Pakistan get. Why FIA, NAB and other authorities are failed to execute the corrupt officer of the IESCO. From the day first there is only sweet dreams for Pakistanis and the employees of ISECO and other Government Institutions become billionaire. The Common Pakistani at this stage now needs some relief to live in Pakistan.
Nice story. And very courageous efforts. Well done.
