As directed by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif for eradication of corruption, enforcement of law and to control crime, new forces and several other new legislation and several other new forces have been established. However, on the other side, this question is being raised: will only poor locals be stifled by policies and new legislation?
The Punjab government has directed strict operations within their department on corrupt officials. Even high-profile officers have been notified that strict actions be taken against corrupt personnel.
But yet the question raised by the local circle remains consistent. If “corruption-free Punjab” is the actual aim of the government, then why is only the police is dragged within the circle of accountability?
Or will the long arms of Justice reach lawyers, advisors, bureaucrats, and several other high profile personalities as well?
